Privacy
The short version: you can read every lesson without telling us who you are, and if you do sign in we keep only what is needed to remember your progress.
If you never sign in
You can browse the whole site anonymously. Your language, text size and read-aloud choices are stored on your own device so the site remembers them next time; they are not attached to any account.
If you choose to sign in
Then we store, and only store:
- Your email address, so you can sign back in.
- Which lessons you have marked as finished.
- Your quiz results, so we can recommend a sensible starting point.
Signing in is entirely optional and adds no features to the lessons themselves — only the ticks beside them.
What we never do
- We do not sell or share your details with anyone.
- We do not ask for your bank details, and we never need your Microsoft or Google password.
- We do not use advertising trackers.
Read-aloud and translation
Read-aloud uses the voice built into your own browser, so the text is spoken on your device. Translated lessons are produced once and then stored, so the same translation can be served to everybody without sending anything about you.
Deleting your account
Email privacy@officeguide.example and we will delete your account and progress. You do not have to give a reason. See also our contact page.
